In 2023, I was asked what emerging tech trends I thought would have the biggest impact on the business in the 2024. It would have been easy to say “Artificial Intelligence (AI).” However, this is what I said, “I don’t think AI will have the biggest impact on businesses in the next year. Of course, over the next year software vendors of all kinds will claim to have AI embedded in their software, and some actually will. However, most companies will not be sophisticated enough or have the organizational or operational maturity to take advantage of AI in any significant way. So as a whole, I don’t think businesses will be impacted most by AI.”

Well, hold onto your hats folks, because I think 2025 will be a pivotal year for AI.

So many software vendors have fully embraced and integrated generative AI into their products. In 2025, I believe AI technologies will cross new thresholds, unlocking unprecedented opportunities for businesses to enhance efficiency, improve customer experiences, and future-proof their operations. For leaders in manufacturing and distribution, understanding these trends is essential to driving growth and staying competitive in an evolving landscape.
